Reminders at Same or Similar Time Cause Calendar Entries to be Missing or Displayed at Incorrect Times

Technote Number: 1142402

Problem:
This issue affects only the One Day calendar view, when unsummarized and when
the time slots for the Reminders are 60 minutes. It does not appear to affect
the weekly or monthly views.

As a workaround, enable the Summarize option in the view (by selecting the
Formatting drop-down in the upper right corner of the Calendar and selecting
Summarize). Or set the time slots for your Calendar entries to an interval
different from 60 minutes.

There have been improvements in Notes/Domino 6.5 where Reminders that are 15
minutes apart will partially display; however, if an Appointment is created on
the same day it will still appear at an incorrect time.

These issues have been addressed in Notes/Domino releases 6.0.4 and 6.5.2.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.0.4 and 6.5.2 MR fix lists
(available at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/):

Calendaring & Scheduling
SPR# LMAN5RRG4Q - Closely timed reminders in the calendar view will no longer
cause display problems in 1 and 2 day views.

Steps To Reproduce Problem:

1. Create a mail file using the Domino 6.x mail template (Mail6.ntf).
2. Open the mail file and select Actions --> Tools --> Preferences. Go to the
'Calendar & To Do' tab, then the Display sub-tab. Make sure "Each Time Slot
Lasts" is set to 60 minutes. Select OK to close the Preferences dialog.
3. Open the Calendar and click on a day with no Calendar entries.
4. Go to the daily view (select the Day tab at the top of the Calendar and
select "One Day" from the drop-down menu).
5. Disable the Summarize option (select the Formatting drop-down in the upper
right corner of the Calendar and make sure there is no checkmark next to
Summarize; if a checkmark exists, select Summarize to toggle the checkmark off).
6. Create an Appointment from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
7. Create 2 Reminders at 7:30 am.
8. Create a 3rd Reminder at 8:00 am.
9. Note the 8am Reminder does not appear at all on the Calendar.
10. Note the 12pm meeting displays on the Calendar now at 11am. If you
mouse-over it, the 12pm time shows correctly.
